I just love the feel of wool and acrylics, feeling the softness and thickness, the many different colors, some so vivid and others more neutral colors. I find it very hard to not buy a few balls as hundreds of ideas for different projects run through my mind. You can imagine what my craft cupboard looks like!
There are so many different plys of wool too. Baby wool is soft and fine and is usually available in 3 ply or 4 ply. 8 ply is a very popular, also known as double knitting yarn. Then there are chunky wools designed for many different projects. 12 ply knits up so quickly you can easily make a project in a day or two.
